PVA

KURARAY POVAL Standard Grades

KURARAY POVAL™ is water-soluble, has specific colloidal characteristics, excellent film-forming properties, and high tensile strength
In addition, it is elastic and resistant to heat and organic solvents.
KURARAY POVAL™ flexibility is due to its chemical properties, especially the numerous hydroxyl groups react with substances
such as reactant resins.

EXCEVAL

EXCEVAL™ is the trademark of Kuraray’s halogen-free, hydrophobic polyvinyl alcohol. Although EXCEVAL™ is readily
water-soluble like any fully hydrolyzed
KURARAY POVAL™ grades it absorbs less humidity in comparison to other KURARAY POVAL™ grades.

Note:
1) Viscosity is measured at 4% aqueous solution at 200C determined by Brookfield synchronized-motor rotary type.
2) Ash content is measured at dry basis as Na2O.

ELVANOL

ELVANOL™ polyvinyl alcohol is widely used in diverse applications such as adhesives for paper, wood, textiles, leather,
and other water-absorbent substrates; photosensitive coatings; specialty molded products; water-soluble, gas-tight films;
paper and paperboard; and binders for pigmented paper coatings, ceramic materials, and nonwoven fabrics.
